Tucked away in Hepburn Springs, Green Retreat Passive House has been thoughtfully designed with some serious green cred. Guests loved the central, but peaceful, location and the modern and comfortable interiors. Guest rated this idyllic retreat a solid 4.8/5 stars.

Purpose built luxury group accommodation with absolute lake frontage, it’s not hard to see why Lakes Edge features in your Top 20 properties of 2019 with a 4.8/5 star rating. People who stayed at Lakes Edge were impressed with the amount of space it has to offer (6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms!) and the second to none views across Lake Daylesford. Elegantly styled, Lakes Edge will fulfill your mansion by the lake fantasies.

The pictures don’t do this beautiful house justice. It’s a lovely place, perfect for getting together in groups but allowing people to have their own private spaces. It’s roomy and comfortable, with homey touches and thoughtful inclusions that made everyone thoroughly enjoy themselves.

While it may be petite, it’s definitely big on comfort and charm. Persimmon is a late 1860s ironmongers shop residence converted into a warm and welcoming one-bedroom abode in the heart of Clunes. Persimmon made guests smile with its gorgeous furnishings, perfect presentation, central location and peaceful atmosphere earning a rating of 4.8 / 5 stars.

We absolutely loved this little cottage. It felt like home as soon as we stepped through the gate and we found it very hard to leave. The cottage had everything you could need – from a comfy bed, an amazing couch, great shower, NETFLIX (brilliant touch!) and a coffee machine which was a bonus as being there over New Years – everything in town was shut. It was also so very quiet in both the cottage (extra thick walls) and the town, which was wonderful as that was the whole point of getting away for the holidays. This cottage is a little gem and we can’t wait to come back!

Upon seeing Lakeleigh for the first time It was like a picture out of a fairytale book so beautiful in its setting of mature gardens. The interior was immaculate, every window had an amazing view. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

The Boatshed House was beautifully appointed with generous sized rooms, king beds that could be split to accommodate the 8 of us on a girls weekend, 3 fantastic bathrooms, again great for our group, and situated right on the Lake for morning walks and an easy walk into town. We visited in winter but I can imagine enjoying a glass of wine while sitting out on the decks in summer.

If you are looking for the perfect getaway with family or friends and your beloved pooch I would highly recommend Aysgarth! Very clean, warm, and close to the main township and what is has to offer with all the comforts of home. The goods on arrival and the puppy box were another lovely touch to a fantastic week away!

Guests love the attention to detail here and the stunning garden that has been a labour of love for the property owner. The home was an absolute delight from the moment we entered the property. The high end finishing, heated ensuite flooring, beautifully maintained gardens, I could go on about everything at this property because it was one of the best homes we stayed at. Our children loved running around the garden mazes. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Those who sought something a little different were rewarded with Dollywood’s cool and funky vibe. Guests swooned over the decor but also commented that it has all the facilities and comforts you could possibly need for your stay. Being close to the centre of town isn’t bad either! Rated 4.9 / 5 stars.

This is a gorgeous property with fantastic amenities that make your trip feel super luxe. It has all the facilities for a larger family so you feel like you are at home. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is what you need with 3 teenagers. And even though it has a different vibe to a lot of local properties, it is so cosy and inviting that you will just want to stay indoors, and play games by the fire. Which we do. Hooray for Dollywood!

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. The house is spacious with generous sized rooms and two ensuite bathrooms. Perfect for a small family or two couples. The house is light filled and clean with plenty of room to relax. Excellent location on the edge of town right near the lake. Perfect for walks in the wilderness but close enough to saunter into town. Definitely recommend staying at Kings Cottage.

Our stay at Oikos was absolutely perfect. Not only was the accommodation beautiful, but all the lovely thoughtful touches throughout the home made the stay perfect. Delicious breakfast supplies, fantastic heating that kept the place toasty, bubble bath for the tub, and a stunning sunset were just some of the things that makes this place incredibly special. If you stay at Oikos, make sure you dedicate some solid time to relax in the house, because you won’t want to leave.
