3. Morgantis – Eganstown
10 5 3
Relaxed surrounds and a quaint rural setting only minutes from Daylesford’s town centre offer a memorable escape at Morgantis. The heritage facade of the property is reminiscent of Daylesfords early settlers, drawn to the region during the gold rush in 1860. Head outdoors for a game of Bocce, try your luck gold panning by the creek, or cook up a storm in the great outdoors by the pizza oven.
What guests are saying about Morgantis:
Overall Rating 4.7/5
Our third stay at Morgantis in six years. All our family, kids and grandkids, get together and have a fantastic week together. Both the residence, the property and the general location are excellent. We always do it in winter for my wife’s birthday which although often cold and wet is actually a big part of the appeal in a cosy house with the fire, pizza oven and plenty of local things to do in Daylesford and beyond.

Our stay at Ablac House was just amazing. It was the perfect hideaway get away for our family. We loved the kangaroos that would often come to say hello. The peace was divine. The open fireplace such a delight. And loved the endless supppy of firewood. The shower luxurious to use. What you see is what you get. It looked just as it did in the photos. At Ablac you really feel like you are away from it all in the bush without being too far out of town. This was truly one of our best long weekends away together as a family. Has everything you need, very cozy and relaxing. We did not want to leave. We definitely hope to return one day!

What guests are saying about Langfields:
Overall Rating 4.2/5
My wife and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend, together with Buster the Labrador wonderdog. The large Ned Kelly woodheater delivered the warmth and ambience expected in a country house (but not often provided). The facilities were great and it is obvious that the owners love their property, by the way it was presented. Birdlife abounded, with sightings of kangaroos, horses and alpacas. It was terrific to have a fully fenced back yard for Buster, so we could dine at Daylesford and Trentham without any worries. We will be back !

Persimmon is a late 1860s ironmongers shop residence converted into a warm and welcoming one-bedroom abode in the heart of Clunes. The restoration of this historic building has seen original period features kept that provide a reminder of a time long past. Small and elegant, a focus has been placed on beautiful fabrics, and a contemporary period style that come together to create a special and memorable space. Petite, but perfect, everything you need is here.

Persimmon is a deliciously cute and comfortable cottage in a fabulous position in Clunes. The owners go to a lot of trouble to make it welcoming with fruit, biscuits and even a bath bomb. Great place to stay.
