Only a 15-minute stroll to the town centre, Edge Daylesford offers the best of both worlds. Modern, spacious living in an architecturally designed property, yet surrounded by nature with floor to ceiling windows overlooking natural bushland.
Mark and Tamara have travelled the world for the past 30 years visiting beautiful and exotic places, yet always dreamt of one day basing their family in a more local holiday setting; one that they could escape to at the end of the week or invite friends to join them to celebrate special occasions.
“I’ve lost count of the number of properties I visited during the search for the perfect place. When we first saw ‘Edge Daylesford’, we knew we’d found ‘the one”, says Mark when reflecting upon purchasing the home.
“On entering the property, we were greeted by a Monet-Esque style pond and sweeping views of Doctor’s Gully, part of the Hepburn Regional Park. A newly built, ultra-modern home with a towering cathedral ceiling and floating staircase in the living area and oversized windows showcasing the spectacular views from every room. From the moment we saw the house we were in love” says Tamara.
Centrally located, the property is near to a convenient path that traverses Doctor’s Gully providing a beautiful walk through Australian bush, 15 minutes walk to both Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
Reflecting upon what it was that stole their hearts, Mark says,
“Daylesford offers the balance we were seeking – the history, scenery and charm of Country Victoria combined with great cafes and restaurants, art galleries and shopping on equal footing with the best of cosmopolitan Melbourne. We love experiencing nature by foot, bike and canoe and are happy to get our hands dirty in the process, but when the sun goes down, we like the finer things”.
Edge provides that with an open and ultra-modern space filled with beautiful leather furnishings, only the best of kitchen finishes and appliances and the most comfortable beds. Mark and Tamara have ensured that staying there leaves nothing wanting. Opening the blinds in the morning to watch kookaburras and grazing kangaroos from bed is utter tranquility and the icing on the cake.
The downstairs spa bath (there is a second bath upstairs) and the walk-through shower complete with rain shower-head in the upstairs bathroom, is as glamorous as any five star hotel.
