There’s a special kind of joy that comes from sinking into a sofa beside a crackling fire, a glass of red in hand, socks toasting by the flames, and the outside world fading into quiet.
In Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges, winter invites you to slow down and settle in — and there’s no better way to embrace the season than with a stay where the fireplace is the heart of the home.
We’ve handpicked ten of our most inviting properties that put warmth, comfort, and atmosphere front and centre. From restored miner’s cottages with open hearths to architect-designed bushland retreats with wood-burning stoves and deep sofas, these stays offer the perfect backdrop for winter romance, solitude, or a soul-restoring weekend with friends.
Whether it’s your first visit or a return to familiar comforts, let the fire lead the way.
