Little Wombat is ideally situated on the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens and affords high, panoramic views of the stunning Daylesford countryside.
Reminiscent of an elegant Parisian garden apartment Little Wombat is beautifully styled and furnished, warm and inviting. A well-appointed Australian miner’s cottage, circa 1860s, it’s perfect for that country getaway. The cottage comprises two comfortable bedrooms, an elegant and stylishly modern kitchen/dining area, a warm and comfortable sitting room, and a spacious, modern bathroom with a two-person spa and walk-in shower.
The front of the cottage takes advantage of the gorgeous, ever-changing views across Daylesford. The back looks straight up to the Botanical Gardens across a ‘wild’ garden, a haven for local small birds, and features a canopied courtyard for relaxing and sitting with a drink and your favourite book.
Located along the walking entrance to the beautiful year round Wombat Hill Botanical gardens and the divine Wombat Hill cafe run by our very own Alla Wolfe Tasker. The gardens are perfect for relaxing, meandering walks ending with a ‘must have’ pastry and coffee. You can also walk from the gardens to the famous Convent Gallery. The cottage is also very close to the main street of Daylesford, just the beginning of the Daylesford experience, showcasing many boutique shops, collector emporiums, art galleries, and the famous Paradise bookshop. For lunch and dinner try the local country pubs, cafes, and fabulous restaurants, including the renowned The Lake House on Lake Daylesford.
The Mill Market, the Sunday markets, The Great Dividing Trail, and the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa are all a short distance away. The list is endless!
