Inspired by the owner’s love of design and travel, you will find pieces from B&B Italia, Dedon, Flos, Fritz Hansen, Ligne Roset, Mark Tuckey, Maxalto, Poliform, Space Craft, Tait and Vitra (and many more) that they have collected over time, and are delighted to be sharing with guests staying at Red Gables – from magazines, design and cookbooks to local wine and sparkling water in the fridge.
The main living room is a riot of fabulous art, furniture, and design pieces. A deeply relaxing yet playful room, it’s a beautiful space to spend precious time with loved ones.
Another feature of this home is the use of bold colours throughout. Deep hues in the living and dining spaces are so sexy and inviting. Five distinctive bedrooms have a personality and quality of their own. The master features a ensuite and deep soaking bath, as well as a study or reading nook. The old Yoga room where the owner previously held much-loved classes, is now a bedroom with a video projector where you can settle in for movie marathons! Three other gorgeous bedrooms are unique and inviting.
The house has been modernised with an induction cooktop, dual dishwashers, wine fridge, high-speed wifi, streaming services, and smart speakers to play you any tunes that fit your mood. The large dining table with a slow combustion wood heater at the end is a warm and inviting space, bound to create fond memories of your stay for years to come.
The patio opens to the 2.6 acre property facing the gully is perfect for afternoon drinks to watch the sun sets. The property is secluded yet close to town.
So slow down as you get here, enjoy the tree top views, watch the kangaroos feed on the grounds, and star gaze at night. Use the fully equipped kitchen or walk into town where you can spoil yourselves with a great selection of cafes, wine bars, and restaurants.
