Magnificent gardens open to the public on selected weekends throughout the year.

Dating back to the 1850's, the garden covers some six acres and features over 250 mature trees, sweeping lawns and extensive hedging, including Australia’s only Tapestry Hedge, as well as many rare and unusual plants. The garden contains many National Estate listed trees. This is a homestead garden on a grand scale, set around an imposing mansion. Visitors can spend hours exploring the gardens, while enjoying the wonderful autumn colours.

Light refreshments are available on the croquet lawn.

Extensive guided tours included in the $5.00 entry. Children free. No dogs please.

Wombat Park is located 300m on the left hand side of the Midland Highway as you leave Daylesford for Castlemaine.
